Assessments for
Autsim Spectrum Disorder

Our practitioners that complete Autism Assessments have extensive training and experience in capturing the subtle variances of autism. Clinicians are trained in gold-standard assessment measures but also incorporate structured clinical interviews, observations, various rating scales, and gather information from multiple perspectives. An assessment can support applications for additional services such as FSCD and PUF.
Below is a typical example of our Autism Spectrum Disorder Assessment process. Every assessment at Creative Sky Psychology is tailored to meet individual needs. Your clinician will work with you to design a customized plan.
Intake Session

The intake session involves discussing informed consent, reviewing the assessment process, gathering historical and current information, as well as determining what questions we are hoping to answer through an assessment
Classroom Observations
This is dependent upon parents and school comfortability and if both parties provide consent for the psychologist to complete a classroom observation.
Standardized Testing
a) We use an in depth interview with parents/caregivers called the Autism Diagnostic Schedule - Revised (ADI-R) that helps us gather more information about a child’s development, communication, and play.
b) The Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule - Second Edition (ADOS-2) is a standardized assessment of communication, social interaction, and imaginative usage of materials.
c) Cognitive Assessment - This is not a required part of an assessment relating to neurodiversity or developmental concerns, but it can be helpful to get a better understanding of how someone learns and processes information best, and can also allow us to make individualized suggestions for supporting any areas in which they may have difficulty.
Socio-emotional Functioning
This step may include rating scales/questionnaires, phone consultations, observations, clinical interviews. This helps us evaluate commonly expressed concerns related to attention regulation, anxiety, and executive functioning.
Assessment Report
We focus on creating a thorough, strength-based and personalized assessment report that provides evidence-based recommendations and strategies
Feedback Session
During the feedback session, we review results and strategies within the report and collaboratively discuss how to implement and prioritize strategies
