Leighton Dahl
Registered Provisional Psychologist
Leighton is a warm, grounded Registered Provisional Psychologist who works with teens and young adults, with a particular passion for supporting youth navigating high-risk behaviours, addictive patterns, and intense emotional challenges. Her approach is non-judgmental and deeply compassionate — a safe space to explore difficult emotions, build coping strategies, and move toward healing with honesty and support.
At Creative Sky, she helps teens and young adults experiencing anxiety (including social anxiety and panic), depression, emotional regulation challenges, trauma, self-harm, and struggles with self-worth — as well as younger clients navigating ADHD, self-esteem, and family-related concerns.
Alongside therapy, Leighton offers psychological and psychoeducational assessments — including ADHD, learning challenges, giftedness, anxiety, and mood concerns — helping clients and families better understand strengths and support needs.
Leighton uses a thoughtful blend of CBT, DBT, ACT, and solution-focused strategies to help clients understand themselves, strengthen emotional regulation, and make meaningful change. She brings steadiness, empathy, and clear guidance to each session — meeting clients exactly where they're at and moving at a pace that feels right. Sessions are offered in person and online.
Leighton also works with teens and adults at our sister clinic, NU Psychology, where she supports generalized and social anxiety, panic, OCD, depression, burnout, attachment challenges, body image and social-media pressures, emotional dysregulation, self-harm, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions.
